Summary: After Harry leaves her, Ginny deals with more than one kind of loss.
Notes: This definitely goes in the What The Bloody Hell Was I Thinking category, otherwise known as WTF?! I mean it's het and it's *Ginny*. Dunno. My brain is whack.

Harry left her to go find Voldemort’s pieces of soul. It was Dumbledore’s funeral and sunny and the air was moist with tears. Ginny forgave Harry even though there was nothing to forgive. She just wanted to fly away on her broom, far away from Hogwarts, its heart no longer beating – far away from herself.

That’s when she saw Dean across the lawn, his dark eyes full of her, full of tears. They were silent as they made their way back inside, into the sunless silence, away from the crowds of people. They found the first secluded place, an empty closet, and they were at it fast – they both tore at her clothes and then got his pants open and then she was hoisted and her back was against the wall and Dean’s dark skin melted into the shadows of the room until she could only feel him, and he pushed into her.

He clung to her in need, stabbing inside her, and she plunged herself down on his cock, until he was deeper than deep, and he was wide and stretching her, and she came hard and fast and shaking against him. She stripped off her top, exposing her very pink breasts and she rode him hard, and he came inside her watching her breasts bounce. She felt a second wave attack her from the inside, gripping him, the tips of her breasts tingling with the motion and his groping gaze.

It was a sin to feel alive just now.

They caught their breath with him still inside her. She stroked his face where the rest of his tears had yet to turn to salt. Her eyes had adjusted, and she traced the full curve of his bottom lip. He tried to kiss her, but she wouldn’t let him.

They straightened their clothes and walked back out into the shock of day. Ginny walked away from Dean and anything of her old life. She supposed it was time to become a woman, to wear whatever armor she could find amongst the rubble – to learn to fight.
